Awareness training for the excavation worker includes such topics as cave-in protection, atmospheric hazards, and emergency response. OSHA’s excavation requirements will be reviewed with an emphasis placed on hazards identification and abatement. Upon completion of the course, attendees will receive a certificate and card from the Construction Safety Council that is valid for 4 years.

• Any employee who works in or around excavation that is unfamiliar with OSHA requirements and excavation hazards.
