40 Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response

This five-day course satisfies requirements contained in the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) for treatment, storage, and disposal facilities and incorporates the emergency responder, including the hazardous materials. This course satisfies the 24-and 40-hour training requirements in 29 CFR 1910.120, CFR 1926.65 and Section 126 of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) for workers at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. This program provides initial training of employees plus site investigation to include identification of hazardous materials, typical hazards, and proper selection of protective equipment.

Pre-requisites
Students enrolling in the 40-hour HAZWOPER must come with a respirator medical clearance letter from a physician or other licensed health care professional stating that they can wear a negative pressure, air purifying elastomeric respirator and a self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with no restrictions.
