The use of Aerial Work Platforms (AWP’s) as a safer alternative to control exposures to at-height fall hazards has increased on most construction sites. While the use of personal fall protection by the user provides fall protection at the work location there are many other factors that must be addressed to ensure safe operation from start to finish. This program will pro-vide an overview of the proper use, setup and maintenance of AWP’s and identify additional hazards that must be considered when AWP’s are used.
