Immigrant workers have higher rates of fatalities and inju-ries than other workers on construction sites, and that challenges safety professionals and others to develop ways to reach them. Many unions have responded with new initiatives and innovative strate-gies. This session provides examples of what unions are doing to reach out, train and protect these vulnerable workers.
