His story of how he went from being a fan of our nation’s space program to actually being on board three of our space shuttles has inspired thousands of leaders. Drebinger is also the well-known author of Mastering Safety Communication, recognized by members of the safety industry as an outstanding training resource, loaded with communication and motivational techniques to help people make safe decisions, and practice safety 24 hours a day.

Since assuming his duties as the head of OSHA, Edwin G. Foulke, Jr. has made it clear that his two years with the agency will be productive. Senior staff members from throughout the U.S. have already met with him in Washington to discuss improvements in communications. He will discuss his accomplishments to date, as well as his plans and vision for the future of the Agency. Two of his Directors of OSHA Directorates that have important relationships with the construction indus-try will discuss their respective perspectives on the future of construction safety initiatives within the Agency.

Paula O. White will discuss important programs now available to contractors that will assist them achieve excellence in construction safety. The Challenge Program has grown significantly since its inception, allowing contractors to work with their administrators to complete the three stage program that has already netted impressive results. Learn how companies that complete Challenge can “fast-track” into the new VPP for Construction.

Steve F. Witt has assumed leadership of the Directorate of Construction. Having a distinguished record as a senior OSHA executive, Steve is very familiar with this department and its importance to the construction industry. As the new head of the Directorate of Construction, Steve will share his insight on the future of OSHA’s relationship with, and resources available to the construction community.
