The use of aerial lifts in construction continues to grow as a safe and effective tool to access areas of height. But too often the user lacks the training and knowledge on proper use, hazards and the limits of the equipment. This session will review common accident scenarios, the relative OSHA and ANSI requirements for scissor and boom lifts, common hazards, proper inspections and the manufac-turer requirements and recommendations. Additionally, participants will receive an introduction to the Powered Access License (PAL) cer-tification program offered through Aerial Work Platform Training, Inc, the U.S. based chapter of the International Access Federation.
